LEBERT Software Engineering was founded in May 2010 to develop and sell hardware and software solutions for electronics manufacturing.

It all began with first article inspection. There were hardly any efficient systems for inspecting first articles, prototypes and small batches. Usually two employees inspected using the four-eyes principle: one searched for the component on the PCB, the other leafed through the documents. After two to three years of hardware and software development, our answer was ready: EFA Inspection checks a high-resolution image of the entire PCB against the customer data. Assembly plan and orientation lie directly on the image, one operator is enough, and every inspection is documented.

Then work preparation. Coordinate file, BoM and assembly plan come from every customer in a different format – and often do not match. EFA SmartSuite reads them in by macro, cross-checks them, highlights every change and prepares the data for production.

After that, the quotation phase. Without your own part number there is no purchase price. EFA SmartSuite therefore finds your matching part numbers for the components in the customer BoM – even in databases that have grown over time – and requests missing components directly from distributors.

This is how EFA SmartSuite came about: one application for quotation, work preparation and production.

With AI since the end of 2024. EFA Inspection also inspects automatically: the AI-powered module EFA AOI checks presence, orientation, offset, rotation, marking and colour bands – set up in a few minutes, also for first articles, setup checks and small batches.
