Privacy policy ..
Please note: this English version is a translation for your convenience; only the German version is legally binding.
1. Controller
The controller responsible for the processing of personal data on this website and by our programs is:
LEBERT Software Engineering GmbH & Co. KG
Maybachstr. 15
63456 Hanau
Germany
Phone: +49 6181 96942-0
Email: info@lse.cc
represented by LEBERT Verwaltungs GmbH, which in turn is represented by Dipl.-Inf. Hans Jörg Lebert (see legal notice).
2. The key points at a glance
- This website itself does not set any cookies, does not store anything on your device and does not use any analytics or advertising tools.
- We deliver fonts, images and videos from our own server. The website only loads content from other providers if you explicitly want it to: the Google Maps map on the contact page (see section 6).
- We only process personal data to the extent necessary to deliver the website, handle your enquiries and operate our programs.
3. Accessing the website and server log files
Every time you access the website, your browser transmits data to the server hosting the website for technical reasons. The following is stored:
- the IP address of the requesting computer,
- the date and time of access,
- the page or file accessed, the status code and the amount of data transferred,
- the previously visited page (referrer),
- the browser and operating system used.
We need this data to deliver the website and to ensure its secure and stable operation, for example to fend off attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The log files are deleted after 7 days at the latest, unless they are needed for longer to investigate a security incident.
The website lebert.ai is hosted by Namecheap, Inc. (USA). Our customer area, the newsletter subscription and the server that our programs contact run at Raidboxes GmbH, Hafenstraße 32, 48153 Münster, Germany. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Raidboxes pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
4. Contacting us
If you contact us by email, phone or fax or ask for a callback, we process the information you provide – such as name, company, phone number, email address and your request – in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to a contract or its initiation, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is responding to your enquiry. We delete the data as soon as your enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations (for example under commercial or tax law) prevent this.
The “Send an email” and “Request a callback” buttons merely open your own email program. No data is transmitted via the website itself.
5. Links to other providers
We link to services of other providers, for example to our profiles on LinkedIn, XING, X and GitHub, and to our company profile and route planning on Google Maps. These services are not embedded: data is only transmitted when you click such a link. The privacy policy of the respective provider then applies.
6. Google Maps
On our contact page, you can load a map from Google Maps. It only appears when you click “Load map” – before that, the page does not connect to Google. When you click, your browser loads the map from servers of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. In doing so, Google receives, among other things, your IP address and the information that you have visited our contact page. Google may also set cookies and transfer data to Google LLC in the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
The legal basis is your consent, which you give by clicking (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). It only applies to this page view: we do not store your decision, and the map is blocked again on your next visit. You can find more information on data processing by Google at policies.google.com/privacy.
7. Customer area
For the customer area, we create a user account for you. For this purpose, we process your name, company, email address and user name – the password only in encrypted form – as well as your forum posts and support requests. For logging in, the customer area sets technically necessary cookies. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. We delete the account when the customer relationship ends or at your request.
8. Newsletter
You can subscribe to our newsletter on this website with your email address. As proof, we store the address, the times of subscription and confirmation, the page on which you subscribed, the version of the consent text and your shortened IP address at subscription and confirmation. We then send you an email with a confirmation link; you will only receive the newsletter after you have confirmed. If you do not confirm your subscription within 30 days, we delete your data. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future – via the unsubscribe link in every email or by email to info@lse.cc.
We process subscriptions on our own server at Raidboxes (see section 3); we do not use an external newsletter service for this. After you unsubscribe, we no longer use your address for the newsletter and only keep the proof of your earlier consent for as long as legally required.
9. Our programs
Our programs (for example EFA SmartSuite, EFA CAMverse and EFA Interchange) refer to this privacy policy. They transmit data to our server in the following cases:
Program start, program exit and update check
On start and exit, the program reports the name and version of the program, the Windows version, the computer name, an installation ID randomly generated at first start and the event (for example start or exit). For technical reasons, your IP address is transmitted. We store it in shortened form (for IPv4 without the last byte) and additionally as a non-reversible hash value in order to group repeated reports from the same connection. The server replies whether a newer version is available; the program then notifies you.
The purpose is to notify you of updates and security fixes and to evaluate how many installations use which program version. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is to provide updates and to develop our programs further. We delete these reports after 24 months.
Contact and update information
If you voluntarily provide your contact details in the program (for example via “Contact / update info…”), we store the information from the form – such as email address, name, company, phone, address, country and intended use – as well as your consents (for example to update notifications, the newsletter or beta tests). As proof, we store the time, the version of the consent text and the shortened IP address. You confirm your registration via a link that we send you by email. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future – in the program, via the unsubscribe link in our emails or by email to info@lse.cc.
Licence requests
If you request a trial or purchase licence in the program, we transmit your details (name, company, address, VAT ID if applicable, email address, phone and intended use), the program and version, the installation ID and the shortened IP address. When you purchase, the program also transmits the licence information of your protection key or computer, from which we generate your licence. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (initiation and performance of the contract). We store the data for as long as is necessary for licensing and support, and beyond that within the statutory retention periods.
10. Product website efacamverse.lebert.ai
This privacy policy also applies to our product website efacamverse.lebert.ai. The product website is hosted by Namecheap, Inc. (USA) and delivered via the network of Cloudflare, Inc. (USA); we also provide the program files via GitHub, Inc. (USA). When you access it, these providers process your IP address and the page request data described in section 3 for technical reasons. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is fast and secure delivery of the website and the downloads.
If you click the download button there (“Download for free” or, on the German page, “Jetzt herunterladen”), our server counts the download. In doing so, we store the shortened IP address and its hash value, the country (where it can be determined), the page from which you started the download, the previously visited page, browser language, browser and operating system, screen and window size and the time zone. This shows us how and where our software is found. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete the data after 24 months.
11. Your rights
You have the right to access the data we store about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17) and restriction of processing (Art. 18), and to data portability (Art. 20). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). To do so, simply contact info@lse.cc.
Right to object: If we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you can object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
12. Encryption
This website transmits all content in encrypted form (TLS, recognisable by “https://” in the address bar). Our programs also transmit their data in encrypted form only.
