Purchasing and costing need the quantity, manufacturer and MPN for each line, ideally straight in Excel.
ODB++, IPC-2581 or KiCad bring the purchasing data as attributes, but per component and not as a list.
The customer’s CAM data becomes the basis for request and quotation, as an Excel file or CSV.
Components with different properties get their own line with their own quantity.
Where many programs leave out the purchasing data, EFA CAMverse exports everything the source data contains.
More about BOM and quotation →The bill of materials fits Excel, ERP and inventory systems directly.
No more retyping by hand.
From every format with components: ODB++, IPC-2581, KiCad, EAGLE, PADS Layout, GenCAD 1.4, Gerber X3 or Gerber with a coordinate file, and DXF. IPC-D-356 contains no components, so there is no BOM there.
The ordering data from quantity to placement side, and every other attribute of the source data in its own column, commercial and technical. How much of it appears depends on what the source data contains.
In the Excel file, EFA CAMverse transfers every value unchanged from the CAM data: package 0402 stays 0402, and the quantity is a real number in the table. The CSV file is UTF-8 encoded and takes the separators and decimal marks from the Windows region settings, the same ones your Excel uses.
A second click on “Coordinate data” creates the coordinate list from the same data: reference, X, Y, rotation, side, value and package for each component in millimetres, plus Z where component heights are available.
